About →

Our sole focus is ensuring literature written by and for Black people becomes tangible.

We Are The Audience

Our narratives are thoughtfully crafted to ensure every book authentically reflects the richness of our experiences, speaking directly to our readers.

We Are The Norm

Our works celebrate the beauty, complexity, and diversity of Black experiences, providing representation that not only inspires and empowers but also normalises our stories.

We Leave You Better

Engaging with our books is a meaningful commitment of your time — we honour that by offering new insights and perspectives on the topics that matter most to you.

Born out of frustration. Built on purpose.

Born out of frustration with the industry's tendency to ignore submissions from Black authors — even those from publishers claiming to support diversity — we chose to forge our own path.

We recognized the need for a publishing platform that genuinely values and uplifts Black narratives. Every submission we receive is met with respect and consideration. We promise to reply to every author, regardless of whether we can move forward with their work.

We see this as an opportunity to foster growth, build relationships, and create a community where every voice matters.

A literary world where Black stories are celebrated globally.

We envision a literary landscape where Black authors are celebrated and their stories are enjoyed globally. Our commitment extends beyond just publishing — we aim to create a space where writers can flourish, connect, and inspire.

We believe that Black narratives connect us, whether our culture is Caribbean, African, Canadian, UK, or American. Words resonate — they make us feel less alone.

Join us on this journey as we champion the stories that deserve to be told and ensure that Black voices are heard loud and clear.
